Since 1954, we have been providing top-quality glass and mirror work for residential and commercial properties in New Orleans and the surrounding area. We are proud to be the oldest single family owned glass shop in New Orleans and look forward to working with you!
OUR STORY
Haro Glass & Mirror Works was founded in 1954 by Henry Haro, Jr. in a backyard garage doing general glazing. Two years later his father Henry Haro, Sr. left his position at a stained glass shop to join his son and expand the business.
Through their hard work, they were able to buy their first shop on Florida Avenue in 1963. After being flooded by Hurricane Betsy and growth in the business, they decided to get a bigger shop on higher ground. Henry Jr. built their new shop on St. Roch Avenue in 1973, which is where you can still find us today.
Raised in the glass shop, Henry Haro III and his brother, Eric, would later take over the family business and develop it into a staple business of the New Orleans community.
Through the years, glass companies have come and gone, changed hands and names; but Haro Glass has withstood the test of time. After rebuilding shops from two hurricanes and many economic ups and downs; Haro Glass has stayed a sound family business for over 60 years.
